    The radio them selves don't have a Password but If the Radio doesn't have Version 2 licensed to it then the radio will not work with version 2 or SmartLINK, If this is the case then you will have to just use version 1 of SmartSDR.
    It will cost you $200.00 for the Version 2 license, BUT at this point unless you really want to run remote with SmartLink  I would wait for Version 3 to come out maybe in a few months then purchase the license for version3 and get the added new features other wise you will have to pay $200 again for Version 3. 
    If you don't know if the radio has version 2 licensed to it or not then give FLEX a call during normal working hours and they can tell you if it has been licensed to it or not and if it is then open a help desk ticket and someone from FLEX would sure help you get it figured out.
