Touch Key in SSDR for iOS

I have been having a blast with my iPad on vacation running my 6400 back home. However, when using the "Touch Key" to run CW on the iPad, several times it has locked up sending continuous strings of dits & dahs, until I shut the app down. If I turn off CWX I think it stops transmitting, but as soon as I turn it back on it starts again. Any suggestions? 

If it is possible, a future upgrade would be to somehow allow use of an iambic paddle plugged into the iPad with a dongle to run CW.
