I have had this happen to me. The radio worked normally when using locally, but no waterfall or band scope when running remote. I ended up deregistering the radio from SmartLink and reregistering. After checking the ports (which were correct), everything worked fine remote again. I was never able to figure out what happened or why it happened., but this cured the problem for me.

Have you tried rebooting your router?

If the band scope keeps dropping out every so often, what is going on? Sometimes the best scope will work. Sometimes the scope will be blank and off-line for days. Another time it will be online. It will be fine for days. This particularly common with the SDR. So what I have to do now is log out of the STR hooked the radio into the maestro mode. And then there’s no remote I have to reboot the radio, and then the band scope comes back.

Is there anything I can do to fix this so problem doesn’t occur anymore because it’s getting frustrating because one time I was it was without a band go for a month and a half.

I read somewhere latest MAC update firewall may be blocking UDP traffic to the app. Make sure MAC firewall allows all traffic to and from radio IP.
