Panafall line_duration parameter

Hi all. Following on from my C# work a few weeks ago I'm now writing a websocket/javascript client to enable a Flex 6000 series radio to be operated using any (well nearly any) web browser connecting to a raspberry pi acting as an interface to the radio. I have large parts of it working and am currently coding the panafall display. By sniffing SmartSDR with wireshark I note that the parameter line_duration is used to alter the speed/rate of the panafall packets. The line duration parameter is typically set at 80 (ms). If I reduce this time to say 40 (ms) I would expect the speed of packets to double (although it's already quite quick at 80ms). However changing to 40 massively slows down the packet rate. Since I'm trying to calculate how many lines are required per second in order to label my display I would like to know the relationship of this parameter to the panafall speed and if I even have the right parameter. As a side note fps changes the spectrum refresh rate as expected.
It would be massively useful if there were full and complete API documentation, rather than having to sniff and interpolate some of the protocol. I'm presuming that Flex have simply chosen not to release it for commercial reasons, fair enough if that is the case.

Cliff,
Line_duration is a Waterfall parameter. It is the time between waterfall lines. fps is a Panadapter parameter and is the number of Panadapter frames per second.
There is the WIKI (http://wiki.flexradio.com/index.php?title=SmartSDR_TCP/IP_API) but unfortunately it isn't always correct / up-to-date. The FlexLIb source code (https://www.flexradio.com/downloads/flexlib_api_v2-4-9-zip/) is your best reference (along with Wireshark).
If you own a Mac, you may want to look at my API Tester (https://github.com/DougPA/xAPITester).
Good luck.0 -
Nevermind. I'm now autocalibrating the scale like SmartSDR does.
