WSJT-X Beta Version

I am far from a computer ****. In FT8 mode, I successfully use the software in the radio and WSJT-X, DAX and CAT on my NUC PC. If I download the new beta version of WSJT-X (and open only one version at a time), do I have to make any changes to the DAX and CAT programs, or will they work "as is" with whatever WSJT-X version I have open? Thanks for any advice.

I have run different versions on the same setup, no problem.1

You can also run simultaneous instances of WSJT-X (or WSJT-X, FLdigi, CW Skimmer, etc) using multiple slices.0
