Smartlink says connected when it's not - just one PC

When I start SmartSDR 2.4.9 (Windows 10) with one particular PC (the one I use most often) via Smartlink, SmartSDR will not connect, while DAX and CAT connect automatically as normal. The Smartlink SDR window says "in use" but I cannot "disconnect user" as the SmartSDR application program seems to hang at this point. See screen shot.

From a PC at the remote transmitter site, or from another PC on the same home network as the problem PC, everything works normally.

It is not the same problem as the https://community.flexradio.com/flexradio/topics/cannot-disconnect-user thread.

Has anyone else encountered this? Do I have to uninstall and reinstall Smart SDR?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
