The best way to make FT8 contacts with Japan on 160m

My idea is to use the RIT with a value of 68000 Hz (1840 + 68 = 1908). Japan can transmit between 1807.5 and 1812.5 kHz. With the RIT you use only one panadapter / slice.

Another ideas?

I do the same for ZL's on 60 meters but I use 2 slices.

Slice A is parked on 5357 with zero RIT and Slice B is set to 5357 with RIT set to 4000.

This allows me to monitor both "normal" activity (US and most DX) on Slice A as well as ZL's on 5362 with Slice B.

Often ZL4OL can be found on 5362 and he monitors 5357 from time to time. Then I can call him on 5357 and he replies on 5362 if he hears me.

    Have a Flexcellent day!

My goal this winter is to get Alaska and Hawaii which will give me work those dates and 160. I've heard both hope that I hear them again!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
