N1MM+ SSB Stored Message Output Audio Level

Just got my first Flex and I'm working through setting everything up.  I've got N1MM+ working in general.  However, when I play a stored SSB message via the function keys, the radio keys up as it should, Tx DAX switches on as it should, nice clear audio in the headphones, signal appears on the meters and in the spectrum display as expected, but the drive level while present, is very low.  Even if I turn up the DAX "TX Stream>TX Gain" all the way up, the drive level goes up a bit but is far lower than the strong clear audio I'm hearing in the monitor.  Any idea what dumb moronic newbie thing I'm doing wrong?  Thanks in advance for the help!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
