I was thinking recently it would be really helpful and fun if FRS could delicate a few radios back at the home office to be available for users to test and get a little practice using SmartLink.

Maybe limit session time to 10 or 15 minuets and then automatically disconnect user?

Anyway just thought I would throw it out there.

    Hi John

Using a radio in smartlink mode is almost exactly like using it in local mode, there are only a few differences:
(eg, you cannot change the software version in the radio and  DAX doesn't work with remote radios) The experience is so similar that I am not sure what the practice would consist of.

Maybe the practice is to get familiar with the radios?

I know that before you have connected to a radio and used it for a few moments that it seems a bit intimidating. Its pretty amazing how quickly this disappears and its just you and your radio!

    Hi Neal

I was thinking more in terms of the Smartlink login and what its like to connect over the internet. I have been using SmartSDR for a few years now a love it. I have even had quite a few radios 6500/6700/6600/6600M and just bought a Maestro and look forward to trying SmartLink with it soon.
