6600M screen brightness

'Just received my 6600M this week. Love it! I have a couple of minor issues I would like to raise.
1. When using subdued lighting in the shack, the screen brightness is just right. However, when I turn on brighter overhead lighting, I find the screen difficult to read. The 6600M came with the screen brightness adjustment set at 100%. Is there some other way to increase the screen brightness for users in brightly lit rooms? Right now, I find myself wanting to use SmartSDR on my PC with bigger and brighter screen.
2. I cannot find a OUTPUT MONITOR check box and control slider among the controls available in the 6600M itself. Once, I had been using the PC and had MON turned on. Later I switched back to the 6600M and went to transmit. Loud feedback resulted; and I could not find any way to turn off MON until I rebooted with the PC SmartSDR. I wonder if there are other controls not fully duplicated from the PC to the onboard 6600M SmartSDR version.

You want more then 100% screen brightness? it may be better to control the lighting around the space the radio is working.0

The monitor function is turned off and on for the M series using the tx menu. You can access the tx menu by pressing the red numbers indicating the power setting on the touch screen or by pressing the inner knob on the right marked mic/speed but be aware if you press that inner knob you most likely will change your mic gain setting unless you have rock steady hands so I always press the power numbers on the touch screen to get to the tx menu. To get back just touch the black area of the touch screen near the menu word.
The front panel speaker is turned off by pressing menu then the audio tab to show the options.0 -
I have subdued area lighting in the shack so my 6400M brightness is set at about 40% just under the Di in the word Display on the page title. My led brightness is set at the right edge of the letter t in the page title.1
