Three Weeks With The Maestro
W3EX -- Tom
Member
Have been remote controlling my station (6500) in Pennsylvania from St. Augustine FL for the last three weeks with very good results. This is the first time that I have had to use the Maestro for a long period of time and it is very enjoyable. I have learned that the Ethernet connection is always preferred over WiFi even when a strong and fast WiFi is present. Bottom line is I am happy that I purchased the Maestro. Very nice piece of equipment.

Yes I just got mine working last night and had a lot of fun with it. It's very nice to use. But I'm really hoping it performs well wirelessly and remotely. Time will tell.0

Steven,
My experience is that WiFi is not very reliable even with a good signal and bandwidth. Actually the WiFi device actually failed in my Maestro. I sent it back and they had to change out the entire tablet computer to fix it for a price. This implies that there may be issues with the WiFi device in the Maestros. I use Ethernet when possible.

On any kind of device direct connection is best. How ever for most people WiFi with the maestro has worked well. In most cases when problems happen it is often network problems, even when the signal is strong.0
