Ordered my Flex 6400 on 2/25/18, Im getting all my ducks in a row because I know I got a while before I get it. Chomping at the bit. Anyways getting my mic/headset/PTT setup squared away and I was wondering if your able to key up the radio using a button in the software? Specifically, I have a gaming keyboard that can be programed with macros and was hoping to assign a hotkey to the PTT button in the software. I scanned the manuals and couldn't find anything really and its likely so obvious that they didn't waste the ink to state it. I know VOX is an option I just want to have a hard key for PTT on the keyboard and save a few bucks by not having to buy the RCA jack PTT for the backside plug. I saw references to hotkeys in older posts for older Flexradios and was just hoping that something has been implanted specifically for the 6400.
Thanks
Chris

It's called the MOX button
PTT switch's can be built for about $10.00 depending on the switch you use.
Well worth it in my book, the MOX get's old very quickly
If you have a OLD Video / Audio cable with RCA jacks on it from an OLD VCR then you have the wire and the connector you need, just have to add a Momentary N.O. Switch.

You could send an API command via a batch file to the radio via the network to make it happen. Maybe even a Cat command. Just thinking out loud.

Or click on mox once on and off, after that you can key the radio with the space bar.0
