I don't have a Maestro, but this has happened to me many times while using my iPad. In all cases I found that my test failed as the Flex radio was not connecting properly to Smartlink. In order to get the test not to fail, I have had to either reset my router, or remove power from my Flex and boot it back up. After that, the connect test passed with the green circle. For some reason, out of the blue, the radio seems to lose it's ability to properly communicate with Smartlink. As an aside to this, I also have L2TP VPN on my iPad with a computer using softether at the remote end. If I disable Smartlnk and enable the VPN, I have no problems connecting to the Flex radio, a 6500, in my case.

Thanks... that’s seems to work .... I hate computers!!0

It has to do with IP fragmentation, and fragmented UDP packets being blocked at the remote router. It's a well known issue. Engineering team is aware of this issue. Unfortunately it is something you just have to deal with.
VPN doesn't have this issue a lot of times, so that's another option.

Is there a well known sokution??0
-
Not at the current time, other than using a different internet connection that doesn't block fragmented packets.0

Does changing the router fix it or getting away from Comcast??0

Depends on where the problem is happening between your radio and the remote client and it is challenging to know what device is actually causing the problem.0

When I went thru the registration process in AUTOMATIC mode it turned green, now it is red and says UPnP pass but the Forwarded ports both fail... any help???0

If the circle is green, the radio can properly communicate to the SmartLink server. Configure it either using uPnP or manual port forwarding until the test is green. Only one of the types of configuration will pass, be that UPnP, manual port forwarding or Hole Punching.0
