For those with M Radios and Maestro monitoring your audio

I have tried various ways to check my transmit audio since my first 6000 series a few years ago.
Because the monitor function does not allow you to hear the equalized audio I have always done this with quick record function, which is the recommended method in the manual. Pretty easy to do a short test on SSDR but really hard to do on a M radio. At least the way I am trying to do it
I am initiating record through the slice menu. From there I have to back out and go into the main menu and go down to the transmit section and scroll to the bottom to get to TX EQ. Make changes (not knowing if its better or worse), exit the menu, go back to the slice menu and stop the recorder.
There is no function key option for record so I cant figure out how to shortcut the process.
I have not tried FDX on this radio yet, but did on my 6500 and my brain can't deal with the latency.
I can fire up SSDR on a PC and do this but seems it should be easier to do on the M radios.
Seems a record playback button below the TX EQ sliders would be ideal.
Am I missing something?

Put a dummy load on the xvtr out setup xvtr to xmit and monitor audio on the other slice receiver to hear how you actually sound. There is a knowledge base article on how to do it.0

Wayne the delay is still there using FDX and transverter port.
As far as I know there is no way to monitor the EQ audio on a flex without latency.
Thanks for the reply.
