ftdi cable for connecting a steppir controller to a Flex 6700

Hello can anyone give me a lead to order the correct FTDI cable for connecting the stepper controller to the usb port on a Flex 6700. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Caution - a lot of them are counterfeit on Amazon.

If that one definitely works in your own experience then it is good. Otherwise, not. FTDI had put out a driver update a few years ago that disabled the fakes.

It's not, I have two working on the Flex as we speak.  On for the SteppIR and one for the SPE amp, but then again I suffer from delusions of adequacy so...

Want to add to this thread as I am in the process of doing this. Dont forget to get a gender changer. The above links are male serial connections and so is the SteppIR.   So wont mate up without additional hardware
