API TCP/IP Port

I'm just returning to writing applications to work with the API. As I recall months ago the TCP/IP port reported in the Discovery UDP appeared to be almost random. So I was surprised when I looked at a Discovery message yesterday and saw the TCP/IP report shown was 4992.
Can I now assume that 4992 is the port to use for TCP/IP messaging with the API?

It has always been tcp/4992. The return port back to the client will be random.0
