Unable to Register Radio for SmartLink Account

Upgraded to the new version of SmartSDR earlier this week on my Flex 6500. All went smooth and I was able to create the SmartLink account and register the radio.  But I never could get the UPnP to work.  I figured the problem out this morning was in my network configuration. I made changes and corrected that problem.  The problem that I am having now is that I can not get the radio to connect to the SmartLink server where I can re register. I don't know if it helps but the IP address the radio was using changed in the new configuration. I need some help please any suggestions?

Thanks

What I/P address are you seeing? It should be an I/P address that is included in the allow list of your router. If your LAN router has an I/P address of 192.168.1.1 then your radio should have an I/P address of 192.168.1.xx(x)

The router IP is 192.168.0.1 and the rigs IP is 192.168.0.12.  I can see the 6500's IP listed in the routers gateways trusted devices.  I can also see the ports 4993 and 4994 listed now.   I just wonder if the SmartLink server could have me blocked?

I was wrong on my comment. I keep forgetting that I don't use smartlink because I get less latency with VPN . I switched over to Smartlink and my I/P address is the same as my WAN address which, in my case is, 66.215..97.140. So, apparently when connected to Smartlink  the network I/P is used. I am sorry for the misinformation.

    Hi Mike

Does  the router facing the WAN have a routable IP address?

I defer to the IT experts here concerning uPnP interplay with local IP addresses that are not static.

The setup here sets the 6500 to a static IP, in radio and the router DHCP server. The port forwarding (TCP and UDP) were entered manually for the 6500's IP address - 192.168.1.100.
When connecting remotely, the IP address seen is the routable (WAN?) address if the router as provided by the internet provider.

The IP is assigned to the radio static and is 192.168.0.112.  My TCP and UDP were also assaigned manually.  I think the setups are basically the same.  The original ip was 192.168.1.101 before chanes and smartlink would let me register the radio.  All looks good in the setup, but can register the radio.  Beats me and need some help.  Hopefully I'll find it here.  Been messing with it since Wednesday just to get the ports working.

    Thanks

Mike, I recommend that you open a HelpDesk support ticket so we can debug that is going on.  With all the network changes you have made, we need to make sure everything is communicating properly.

Thanks Tim!  I di and am working with Dudley now.  I have a new network switch coming tomorrow that I hope will solve my problem.  I just can't get the ports to open with the old switch.  Hopefully I'll get it up and going tomorrow.

Problem Solved! Received a new 8 port Gigabit Switch this afternoon and just installed it.  SmartLink is now working.  I suspected a network problem and it was. I do have a question, At the end of the network setup to the server where you click on save I saw no indication it saved the setup.  Should there be a prompt to let you know the configuration saved?

When you click the SAVE button, it momentarily changes to a lighter shade of blue, indicating the save operation has completed.
