Remote bandwidth usage of different solution

i try to confirm and compare my finding  on remote operation bandwidth usage 

after a good day operation on 6M  i see it used 70Gig data from 250 monthly limit  !!
so i figure it time to see how to reduce it

for testing i receive band noise on 1 slice ,95RATE  / 14FPS / 50AVG whit DAX 1 enable 
each test is 30 minute 

softether VPN  default setup               500mb  
softether VPN  compresion enable     397mb  
SmartLink                                          4296mb
SmartLink  Low Bandwidth               2093mb    
AnyDesk  (kind of Teamviewer)          576mb  


so assuming  softether whit compresion and 8 hour per day = 190Gig/month
and whit smartlink   = 2062Gig/month   really need unlimited internet  ;-)

did my result look good whit your own result ?

    Puff, those seem very large numbers for Smartlink. They do not correspond to what I am seeing on my end. I will do some more testing and report back.

    good point  just check and even if enable on radio  it not streaming to local PC DAX

    it would be interesting Marc when your testing, if having DAX on the radio increases the network traffic at  all while running SmartLink?

    and it drop to 318mb / 30minute

    but really still not figure  how smartlink may  consume more that VPN ?
    that no sens something must be wrong somewere

    i do  more test  seem i not able to duplicate previous extreme data usage  ,still investigate that

    look on last test that it more like 500mb / 30 minute for smartlink 
    softether whit compression stil the winner whit 230mb/30m    (5FPS )

    Hi Marc,

    One more real-world data point....

    Using just Maestro + SmartLink only over the WAN connection (No PC VPN, No Teamviewer, etc. in addition)
    -30 minute test
    -288 MB of billable data used (Verizon)
    -So about 1Mbps
    -95% of time Rx, 5% CW Tx
    -Same panadapter framerate and waterfall speed as on the shack LAN
