Unistall-reinstall program

Until Windows 10 gets it's act together, I was wondering if a little utility program that would save the profiles, then uninstall and reinstall everything, and load the profiles back into SSDR might be a good addition. I'd be up for automatically running such a program after every W10 update.

I have mentioned this before and feel I have solicited nothing but pedantic yawns. You might want to take a look at WinToUSB. It will load a Windows entire operating system and programs onto a USB device and one can use this device to run your SDR until Windows slows down it's need to change every minute of every hour of every day. Every day I boot up my thumb drive and glow while Windows is desperately trying to change things.

I guess it depends on the person's level of expertise. As Flex expands their reach to less computer savvy users, it will be easier to automate the process rather than tell them to uninstall-reinstall. Call it "FlexRefresh" and it might even make it sound like a cool thing to do. 8^) For myself, just a convenience.0

That is handy option for some. Others may prefer to run in the more standard setup and the option to have a one button or script to completely uninstall, prompt for reboot, and install. The Export/backup is optional to me since I have not encounter loosing anything on an uninstall but if it could be easily included it would enhance the process. This would probably be good as a troubleshooting process that might reduce the number of tickets that could be easily resolved by the user. That along with restart network devices with things are being found on the network or just not behaving as they were.

Guess I am lucky? Running Windows 10 on 9 machines and have never had to re-install. In my 35 years supporting MS products haven't seen a more stable version since MS DOS.0

Yes Craig - you are pretty lucky, I went for quite a while - like you - not one Windows 10 problem whatever. Then BAM! Every update for a while. While it has settled down a lot, I have no trust in Windows updates.
And as luck would have it, I just tried opening WSPR after yesterday's update, and it no longer works.
But any secrets you have that would allow us to acheive 100 percent reliability would be appreciated.
