Is it possible at all to monitor tx audio on the ios app? I have tried turning MON on and adjusting levels. No such luck. Ive all of a sudden been getting bad audio reports. Would be nice to hear the audio myself. Happens both on WAN via VPN and on local LAN.

Unless the radio has gone south, most sudden audio distortion problems are caused by "RF in the shack" If you have a dummy load and a spare HF receiver, you could verify the possible RF problem.

Hi,
This is the method I use
1 - Save a Global profile that is configured to use the audio setup process that is detailed in previous posts, this uses full duplex and the transverter output (Into a dummy load) whilst receiving the transmitted audio. Set this profile up on a PC using SSDR and check it works OK. 2 - Open that profile in SSDR for iOS
3 - Whilst transmitting on the iOS device use DAX on a PC to record the receive audio, I use the excellent freeware program "Audacity" to record. You can run DAX on a PC while running SSDR for iOS on another device no problem.
If you need more of an explanation I could write a step by step guide this weekend, as it would be better if I went through the process again myself while writing the guide.
Hope this helps, worked a treat for me, just wish that SSDR for iOS had a software version of the downward expander so I could get as good an audio setup on iOS as on my PC.1 -
Jeromy,
I just want to add that the MON feature of the iOS App has been implemented the same way as for the Windows App.

Hi Marcus
Unrelated to your comment but in my procedure above there is a reason you need to setup the FDX listening global profile in SSDR for Windows. And then select it in iOS , there was some functionality I couldn't setup in the iOS app. I will try and repeat tonight. It might even be the FDX select itself but I can't remember!!. I will repeat and post result.

I finally fig it out and got all my profiles adjusted. I use a wired headset, a bluetooth, the stock apple headphones, and the handsfree in my chevy colorado. In a pinch ill go direct thru the phone, if i see a country i need on the spotter. Thats an awesome new feature in itself. Thanks for all your hard work Marcus. Got the levels all set. Thanks!!0
