i have A FLEX 3000 WITH NO TRANSMITT DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEAS THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAID FLEX COULD NOT FIX THE RIG  THANKS N8ACC NATE HERE IN WV

Hi nathan...where is your loc...am in ei have flex3k sent it to flexradio eu germany for fixing...did your tepair center give you a reason why it is not tx'ing...my problem with mine was it was a gift from a ham friend not not connecting..problem was firewire issue new firewire control ic and new overload ic andd a bifilar choke..cost of components was about 17euros plus 55euros at 1hour bench and testing time 2.5 hours and 21euro DHL return cost..theat from flexradio eu repair center...of your 3k is not worth fixing then thats that..but mske sure the problem has been checked by flex and a report is issued as to the exact problem.and of the cost of repair is cost effective before proceeding..it isnt dead until its ready for the bin..regards francis ei3gqb..dublin ireland.

chiming in from the uk, the whole flex pcb can be exchanged for another one, if they have them in stock. If the US does not have them, then try the German repair centre

Klaus is correct.  We can do board level replacement on the FLEX-3000 and make one work, even if it has been struck by lightning.  Now, this type of repair is not inexpensive and you should get a quote on it by opening an RMA like Dudley suggested and sending it in for evaluation.  That will cost you 1 hour of bench time ($99).
