Maestro (problem ?) not getting the Maestro welcome screen

Not getting the Maestro welcome screen but the message "Waiting on Hardware Initialization (Y, K. YTS)"

    Dudley has an easy fix for this. Happened to me too.  If I'm not out of line, here's the post for that. Since you only posted this an hour ago, I know you're probably as worried about it as I was:

    "In this case,  run the following procedure to fully reset the Maestro..   Report back the results.. 

    Please run this Maestro reset procedure to configure the Maestro to run in the most reliable and stable configuration.  It is important to follow this procedure exactly to determine the nature of your issue.

    1.) If the Maestro is running, power off the FLEX-6000 at this time.  Disconnect any cables connected to the Maestro.

    2.) If you have a battery bank installed in your Maestro, **disconnect the USB cable from it** so that the Maestro is not using battery power.

    3.) Connect the Maestro to a wired Ethernet connection using the RJ-45 Ethernet connector that is located on the same side of the Maestro as the DC coaxial power connector.  This connection can be to your local LAN network or a direct connect to the FLEX-6000.   Before connecting the Ethernet cable to the Maestro, visually inspect the Ethernet connector to ensure that there isn't any foreign bodies, like Styrofoam packing material, inside the connector that could cause it to not make a proper connection.  You can use compressed air or a non-metallic tool, like a toothpick, to remove anything that may be in the connector.

    4.) Connect the supplied AC power adapter to Maestro.  Make certain that the AC power adapter is connected to a known good power source (if a power ****, make sure it is turned on) and operating properly.  You may need to check the DC output of the AC power adapter if this step is not successful.  If the Maestro was powered off, connecting the AC power adapter may cause the Maestro to boot.  If this happens, allow it to boot up to whichever screen comes up.  Then press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.  You may see a blue screen pop-up while doing this. If so continue to hold down the power button until the blue screen disappears.  Then release the power button.

    5.) Allow the Maestro to stay connected to the AC power in the powered down state for 15-30 minutes to allow for the internal display battery to recharge.

    6.) After allowing for the internal battery to recharge, start the FLEX-6000 and allow it to boot up.  After the FLEX-6000 has booted up, boot the Maestro bypressing and holding the Maestro power button for 5-6 seconds and then releasing.

    7.) To verify operation of the Maestro, we are going to connect to the FLEX-6000 , not the wifi. Please connect the Maestro to a wired Ethernet connection that is on the same LAN as the FLEX-6000 or directly connected to the FLEX-6000.  When the Maestro boots up to the Select a Radio screen, there should be the Ethernet icon in the lower left-hand corner (A PC with an Ethernet cable).  If you have previously connected Maestro to a wifi network, you will need to "forget" the network temporarily so that we use only the Ethernet connection.  To do this, tap on the <Wifi option at the top left corner of the Select a Radio screen. Select the connected wifi network by tapping on it to highlight and then tap on the Forget button.  At this point, there should only be the Ethernet icon displayed in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, indicating wifi is disconnected and the Ethernet is connected.  Tap on the Radio> option at the top right corner of the screen to return to the Select a Radio screen.  If you are still not seeing the Ethernet icon in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, please visually inspect the RJ-45 connector on the Maestro to make sure there is not any material or foreign bodies in the connector that would prevent it from making a proper connection.

    8.) Select your radio and then tap on the Connect button.

    9.) Select SmartSDR v1.8.4 (minimum version) or the latest installed version of SmartSDR for Maestro.  This would be the latest version of Maestro displayed that does not have the blue software download icon beside it.  It may have a green Radio Update Required arrow shown and this is OK, as it indicates that the radio firmware needs to be synced with the version you select to run.  Tap the Update button if displayed, otherwise, just select the proper Maestro version and tap on the Run button.

    10.) The Maestro should boot up normally at this point.  If not, please describe the error in detail and if there are any error screens displayed, please take a picture of it so we can see the entire details.  If the error message has an option to "Show More", please tap on the Show More button and take a picture of the error message detail.

    Thank you for taking the time to reply to my query.
    Followed your instructions to the letter to no avail.
    I tried connected to the network router (where I can see both Flex-6500 and Maestro); also tried the direct connection Maestro to Flex-6500. In either case, the results were the same (see sequential photos here: https://goo.gl/photos/q2atnMMmZACUqKox7)
    Note: the blue screen with the word maestro appears for a fraction of a second before returning to black and the offending message.
