Flashing three blinks indicates radio software is not running

A buddy of mine just contacted me to see if I could figure out the problem he is having with his 6300. It basically has the 3 red LED flashes which based on the hardware reference manual means "Flashing three blinks indicates radio software is not running"

Is there a way to fix this without a trip to EU tech support?

I would lodge a support case, however, try powering up by holding down the power button until it goes purple (I think that is the colour).

Thanks Michael! I already told him to try to do a factory reset. He mentioned that he had already, but you never know... maybe another one might do the trick.

Make sure he turns DC power off to the radio, hold down the button and turn DC power back on while holding down the button.

This error, if consistent will need to be addressed by a FlexRadio service center.
