CTCSS Persistence in 1.8.3 & 1.8.4

In both SmartSDR 1.8.3 and 1.8.4 CTCSS status is not persistent.  Tone is persistent.  Is this to be expected?  I don't remember having this problem in the earlier version.  I did notice that in 1.8.4 NR became persistent.  All DPS levels also became persistent in this latest version.  They were not in 1.8.3.
