What an amazing radio ...much more mind bending than I had expected. I just got a Flex 6500 and I'm running it on a Mac with Parallels/Window 10. . The radio works great in this environment and the SmartSDR spread out across the iMac monitor looks great. I'm having trouble with some I/O issues...both audio/DAX and reconciling the windows com ports, the Flex virtual com ports and trying to connect to USB devices that live on the Mac side. For example, I'm setting up Fldigi. It was fairly easy to set up com port communication and rig control, frequency exchange etc works. The Fldigi configurator Audio tab should let you select DAX I/O through Port Audio, but it is greyed out. This is probably a parallels/Windows issue. Getting com ports straight for N1MM and integrating Winkeyer is going through a slow trial and error process. I'd love to hear from others who have worked through these issues in the Mac/Parallels/Windows setting.

DAX & CAT don't move well between Windows and OSX. You may want to use "Remote Audio" if you want to run a Mac app for a digital mode. Otherwise, use the VM like a full PC, with everything "inside." Better yet, drop over to DogPark Software for a Mac-Native Flex client and logger. Sound Siphon or Loopback audio apps will give you plenty of DAX-like flexibility for moving audio around. Welcome aboard & good luck.1

Thanks, George. I'm trying the full PC approach, but coming from the Mac world, I get a little light headed trying to get into the PC frame of mind. I have used MacLogger for a long time but my brief look at the sdr app looked like it had a ways to go. My Maestro will be here soon, but I wanted to learn the full PC implementation first.0
