I have had my new 6500 for just about two weeks, and this has happened to me once so far.

I just went and read the prior posts. Tim, its disappointing that you guys identified this a month ago as a critical bug and have yet to release a fix. Hopefully your shop treats these types of issues with higher priority than anything that would be in a regular sprint. I look forward to released fix.

They generally don't issue a fix for a single bug. They issue a release after several have been fixed. I think something as important as this should be released ASAP.0

This Worked for me.Use this procedure to disable Hibernate
1.) Press the Windows + R keys.
2.) Type cmd to bring up a Command window.
3.) type powercfg.exe /hibernate off
Use the following procedure to change your Power Plan to High Performance.
(note - this removes hibernate / hybrid sleep options from the Power Plan settings. It also deletes hiberfil.sys.)
(NOTE - This is a global setting that disables hibernate for ALL power plans. It should not be used on a laptop.)1.) Press the Windows + R keys
2.) Type powercfg.cpl (this is Control Panel/Power Options)
3.) In the Select a power plan window, choose the High Performance power plan
4.) Click on Change plan settings beside the High Performance plan
5.) Change all options to Off or Never
6.) Click on the Change advanced power settings option
7.) Click on the [+] next to USB settings to expand the options
8.) Click on the [+] next to USB selective suspend setting to expand the option
9.) If the Setting is not set to DISABLE, click on Enable to get the drop down box and set it to Disabled.
10.) Click on the [+] next to PCI Express to expand the options
11.) Click on the [+] next to Link State Power Management to expand the option
12.) If the Setting is not set to OFF, click on the current setting to get the drop down box and set it to OFF.
13.) Click on the OK button to save the changes.
14.) Click on the Save changes button
15.) Close the Power Options screen.

Hello Al I have a 6700 and did experience the same problems as you mentioned. From a previous post here's what I did that seems to have cured it. 1. Shut down SSDR and radio. 2. Uninstall all versions of SSDR using the Uninstall feature in Windows. 3. Then install 1.7 4. Restart the radio and SSDR. Have been running my radio non stop for days with no issues. Hope this helps.0

Another interim solution, if you don't need the 1.7 features, is to download and install 1.6.1
-
I've had the 6700 freeze up and usually it outputs a raspy buzz; I power cycle the 12v psu to reboot the radio and reboot the computer (to get all the apps to reconnect properly); Happens intermittently; 1-4 times a week. Tim indicated its being tracked as a bug... So far I've not downgraded and just lived with it.0

" It also deletes hiberfil.sys.)"
I, honestly, do not think deleting components of the operating system is a winning solution. To my recollection, Windows knows whether the host PC is running via battery or external power and hibernate/suspend is only active when on battery. If one were using SSDRfW continuously for 5-6 hrs/day every button press, every mouse move would keep the display from sleeping, which is not hibernating or suspending, rather just keeping the display from burning in.
As Tim said elsewhere, they are focused on 1.8. This likely means the A-team is also focused on 1.8 which means after they get a clean 1.8 I am sure you'll all have the opportunity to download and install it. It's in FRS's best interest to keep customers happy and not bitching. I am certain they are efforting that.

We are still investigating the issue. Once we have a verified fix, we will consider an immediate release of it.0

Hibernation shouldn't effect the problem as described. But... Hibernate and suspend can both be used when th system is being powered by AC. It's entirely up to the user how to configure their system. For a desktop system powered by the wall outlet, I agree that hibernation is a nuisance. I shut it off myself. i don't even let my work computer suspend when it's idle. Guess I lose points for not being "green", huh? I get my carbon offset other ways. Interesting fact is that, "fast startup" (after issuing a shutdown command... As opposed to a restart command) actually resumes the kernel mode portion of Windows from a previously saved hibernation-like state. Peter K1PGV0

(((((This is not a flexradio problem just thought I would mention it)))
Telephone handset 5.8 ghz slows down my lan and wifi sometimes to the point of disconnect.
It is not DECT 6.0 newer phone.
The newer phones are 1.9ghz DECT 6.0 and shouldn't interfere with wifi router.
Maybe something simple as this.

Sri fer going a tad further OT ;-).
Hibernation is a very bad thing indeed. I also, when Win 8/8.1/10 was briefly installed, disabled fast start. It can cause massive disk corruption in certain configurations. That being having multiple OSs installed and separate data partitions. My current PC has three versions of Windows and 6 Linux distros all in primary partitions on my OS disk. I have two other internal disks, one having one partition and the other 4.
The problem arises when a data partition is changed under one OS and then another OS is booted. The changed data partition becomes corrupted. For full details of this go to http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ucf/viewforum.php?f=1 and search for 'corruption', 'hibernation', 'fast startup', etc and you will see what I mean.
Having said all of the above, I will rarely use hibernation if I will be away from some of my PCs (they all multi-boot) for a few hours.0 -
Headline says "hardwired LAN". That means he's not using WiFi.

Excellent to hear! Please let me know if you need any field testing done to help isolate the issue.

My computer is set to consume as much electricity as it can... with the exception of the monitors which I have sleep after an hour. This has been the way it has been running for two weeks though, and it's only happened once. Just FYI for everyone.

Mine too vis-a-vis the electricity. Bring it on!

ok direct connection. but these telephones also can shut down my wired connections also if I am in close proximity. Just haven't upgraded to the newer DECT phones yet. Basically effects both sides.
AL Says in another post he is using combo router wifi wired.
