In preparation for the next release of SmartSDR for Windows, you can now download the SmartSDR for Windows v1.7.30 Release Notes.

Please note that the primary new feature for SmartSDR v1.7 is the initial support for the Maestro Control Console for the FLEX-6000.

Most of the software changes included in this release are firmware-based updates and modifications required for supporting a new GUI client (SmartSDR for Maestro).  Since the SmartSDR for Maestro software is a new component of the SmartSDR software ecosystem, as is SmartSDR CAT, the radio firmware, and DAX, whenever one component of the ecosystem is released, all of the other components are released as well to keep them synchronized.

One of the new SmartSDR for Windows features facilitates the ability to use Maestro and SmartSDR for Windows interchangeably without having to upgrade or downgrade the radio firmware. In addition to Maestro support, there are several updates and bug fixes included that are SmartSDR for Windows specific.

A complete listing of all changes will be included in the official SmartSDR for Windows v1.7 release announcement.
