Hello to all!
Today while I was listening to radio looking for good Dx power went out....energy fail was in a big sector during 1 hour...
After a while when energy power was solved I got back to my radio.. and decided to do some digital work.....WSJT-X didn't recognize CAT com 4 ....I opened CAT Box.....and nothing in Process...I opened slice B...and Another WSJT-X windows ( I have 2 WSJT-X).....and CAT com 6 work fine....
I remove CAT com 4 and installed Slice A on CAT port 5......WSJT-X listen and decode....but doesn't PTT the Rig and don't recognize Frequency........if I change to port 6 on slice B...it works
I decide to Uninstall......and did a fresh intalling......Com 4 never showed again.....and Slice A is on CAT com 5.....but problem persist.......Any Idea?

Sounds like the same problem I hear every day. You probably didn't completely uninstall SmartSDR.

Is it possible that windows moved some hardware device into the COM4 slot... You may also need to look and remove for hidden devices in the windows device manager..

George, the power outage has corrupted the CAT configuration file. I see you have opened a HelpDesk ticket (which was the correct thing to do). I should be able to manually recover it, so just get me the info requested and we'll get you back in business.0
