SmartCAT 1.6.17 Com Port Ghosting

After installing SSDR 1.6.17, which seemed to go without a hitch, I noticed extra com ports were installed. (Com 105, 106 and 14)

I tried many different ways to rid of them including uninstalling SSDR 1.6.17 as well as VSP.  Then I got on this forum and I saw the suggestion from Tim here: https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en-us/articles/200883925-Removing-Hidden-or-Ghosted-Com-ports and followed the instructions.  I then reinstalled SSDR 1.6.17 and found that the extra ports are installed again.  Are there any other ideas on how to permanently remove these "Ghost Ports"

I don't think its a show stopper as I am not getting any errors in SmartSDR Cat.  I would like to have the ports organized now for digital modes if possible.

    What ports do you have defined in CAT?  I see the following new pairs

    COM5<->COM105
    COM6<->COM106

    And from the previous installation of CAT

    COM4<->COM14

    You should see theses port pairs (the lower numbered value) in CAT.  If these are valid, there is no need to delete them.  If you do, you will break your CAT port configuration

    Every port needs two "ends," so this is how it shows up.

    Ahhhhh.  Well the pair numbers in the hundreds threw me off as well as not seeing all pairs on the CAT panel.  I'm glad this is not an issue.  Thank you.
