Is there a disk to install the software on the computer?

I have purchased a new HP laptop computer to operate my 6300 that I'm going to purchase. The newer laptops don't have a slot to put in a disk. Is the Flex 6300 come with a disk to install the software, or is installed when you plug in the cables?

Don, you just download the software from the Internet and run it on your laptop.  It will load SmartSDR on your PC and then do the firmware update on the radio once you connect to it.

Just click on the Download button.
