No Output on 20m when power set at 100w?

I ran into an odd situation tonight on my Flex 6500.  On 20m with power set at 100, the radio keys, but, I get no output as measured on my LP100A.  If I set the power to 99, I get power out (88w into a MFJ oil filled dummy load).  Move the slider to from 99 to 100, output goes to zero.  Seems to be the case regardless of mode and only on 20m.  I also pushed the Tune button on 20m and keyed the radio with about 10w and then moved the tune slider all the way to 100 and the same thing happened, output went to zero. Software is 1.5.1 under Windows 7 pro64.

Anyone else have this issue?  Is this a known bug?

Have you tried this into a dummy load?

Yes, this is into an MFJ 1500 watt oil filled dummy load.

Good going, that eliminates RF issues.

I just tried this on my 6500 but 100w works ok out to my antenna.  99 does too.

Very strange.  I would suspect something messed up in the radio.  Perhaps a factory reset?

Interesting, thanks Mark.  I did a factory reset and the condition persists.

    Thanks

This sounds like the 100W calibration point in the 20M position is ka-put.  May I respectfully suggest opening the radio setup, Transmit menu and set the maximum power to 99 Watts for the time being.

I personally wouldn't lose any sleep over it...

Sounds like a 'dead spot' on the virtual potentiometer. DeOxit makes virtual **** cleaner so try that.
Sorry, I just could not resist that...   OK, I'll hang my head in shame.    73,  Jim

As long as it gets it virtually clean ....

cleanliness is in the eye of the virtual beholder.
