You bet! And a lot of other enhancements that I have seen posted, or at least rumored here in the community. I have no inside information, about any specifics. Friends of mine who are alpha testers have all been sticking to their NDA's and saying nothing except, "You are going to love it!"

Has somebody breached their NDA by making this video? It is a strange way for a company to release information if it is not, hi hi.

Seems like there will be a lot to learn again, LOL. Hoe can one listen to several bands at once? How many antennas does one need? I just cannot get my head around how this aspect works - with one antenna (sob, sob) the issue is not that important. Would be useful to know if I win the national lottery (yeah, right).

I really do hope Chris does NOT get in trouble. It is a wonderful video presenting how to do digital modes with the 6700. FRS expressed here that 1.6 wasn't out yet because of the holiday season and not being able to answer potential customer support calls after a major upgrade due to employee vacation. I keep refreshing the FRS website waiting for it to pop up any minute now!

Absolutely awesome, multi-tasking beyond my imagination, one would need at least 3X27" screens to track all of the action, I hope FRS will go for detaching panadapters so one can spead'em across different screens with their corresponding digital programs,  otherwise a single screen operation will be almost impossible.

Not exactly a breach of the NDA -- at least not an intentional one.  Chris put the video together & presented it to the alpha test group on their e-mail reflector.  He probably simply forgot that anyone could search YouTube & find the video.

Like Tim said, "Stay tuned...."  v1.16 will soon be here.

NDAs are legal documents for a reason. If a party to a legal agreement decides to unilaterally disclose information because, "it's time", that's kind of a big deal. It is, however, up to the other party to decide what, if anything, to do about it. But it is a legal document, for a reason.

It is a very nice video and I shall enjoy watching it to get familiar with 1.6 before release. The production quality is excellent.

I do hate those videos that are produced for the Flex where the author thinks his voice is in an audition, every special effect of the software is used and the narrator thinks he is a comedian. These faux-pas just detract from the content.

This might be a bit premature, but with the new mic stream, is there a way to record receive and transmit audio together? Most sound recording apps, such as Audacity or i-Sound 7, will only record from one sound device at a time.

I would be surprised if Flex overlooked this.

I figured it was either that, or that it was recorded in anticipation of a software release and may have been posted early by accident, by an "oops" on a privacy click box, or attempting to time its release with the software release that had a short last minute delay....oops.

In any case, The video is nicely done, and if the feature set holds and is accurate it looks like we are in for some really neat improvements that will be handy not only for contesters, but for the digital ops as well.  (But we all know that things sometimes can change at the last minute) 

Some of the features demonstrated are applicable only to the 6700 with its dual SCU's, but many will apply to the 6500 & 6300 as well.

I will be very interested to see what they did with RX EQ...I hope it is linked to the mode as well so I won't need to adjust my RX EQ every time I move from SSB to CW and back.  

Oh Well... additional speculation is pointless.  We shall all know soon...

Hi Chris,

I don't think that it was leaked. I am subscribed to your channel so it popped up when you posted it 2 days ago. I think that it was more of a YouTube issue.

It looks like 1.6 is imminent and there was no damage done, in my opinion. I really hope this has no consequences for anyone. None for you as your videos are great and I enjoy them very much and it would **** if you stop making them. None to the Alpha group at large (I am not a member of that group) as I believe no one leaked it and it would be detrimental to have bad blood looking for culprits. 

My personal opinion is that not knowing what is to be expected down the pipeline of the Flex Radio hurts FRS more than stops competition from "copying" features.

There are ways to manage expectations. There are Probable features like WAN and Possible features like, maybe Pure Signal. 

I would love an option to Beta test Release Candidates with a clear understanding that it is NOT a stable version of the software.
