Anyone care to share their DDutil Genvoation macros?
Roy Laufer
Member ✭✭
I have, occasionally, seen control commands that some of us are using with DDutil macros mapped to a Genovation keypad.
It would be great if we had a repository of macros that users have found useful.
Failing a web page of such gems (yes, I know that DDUtil has a wiki page, sometimes my ears bleed from trying to follow it) anyone out there want to cut and paste their favorite macros here for all of us to ponder and use?
What do you say, guys... let's put on a play<HIHI>!

Oops. It hid all the XML0

I also have an Excel file. Much easier to work with. Will post it when I get back.0

Howard
Can you list your toggle macros too?
Or, maybe share your DDUtil macro file on the DDutil Yahoo Group in their files section?

The toggle macros are already listed. AGC. Is an example Send me your email and I will forward you my Excel file which explains it much better. Bit hard to post things via my iPad0

Thanks, I figured they were in the listing, but I wasn't able to decipher which was which without the macro ID numbers. You've got several macro's I hadn't thought of. Now I don't have to think them up.

Glad I was able to help As I said the spreadsheet makes it very easy to program the macros and then map the different ones to the button matrix.0

Recent Keypad/DDUTIL macro problem....Here is an example of what used to work...a single button toogle for tune on/off...it used to work before but no more
23 Tune DDTG01:050:051;
50 Tune On DD6TXT1;
51 Tune Off DD6TXT0;
as it turns out none of my toogle commands seem to work but my single commands work OK.
Message says I have a command structure problem!
Any ideas what I've done wrong? Format looks good for toogle!
Howard I learned this from ur command spreadsheet (I think)

At first, I thought it might be a DDUtil version thing. But , your toggle macro is correct. (mine matches and works). I posted and then deleted my guess about the version issue. That wasn't the problem.
Does the toggle work when it's clicked in the Macro pane?

Hi Jay....as it turned out, it looks like I had a user settings config file that was corrupt. Some cleanup and re-entry of my settings and about an hour ago I had things up and running (like they had in the past).....I appreciate your support.....
by any chance do u know if there is a command that will increase and decrease audio volume.....kind of like the +/- commands I use for zoom in/out.....it could be an easy way to control volume rather than the slide bar in SmartSDR.
Have a nice weekend!

There is a command to set the value of the slider. but I haven't been able to script anything to check the value, add N to the value, and then set the new calculated value. I haven't tried hard enough, yet, though. New Project!

I had some vague idea this might be possible, using AutoIt to query DDUtil for the value over the DDUtil TCP Server, connection then script the increment in AutoIt, and then send the new value over the TCP connection. It might be possible to query and send over CAT. to DDUtil (ought to be). I don't think DDUtil's Macro processing can do the increment without outside help (Yet, but worth suggesting I suppose).
Then again, An AutoIt >> SmartSDR API connection might work even better since you could send anything you can imagine doing it that way. This has been "next" on my AutoIt ToDo list for way too long.
Think scriptable command processor, with a friendlier, full featured scripting language.
That might allow near-english to API command syntax translation, and customization of SmartSDR.
DxLabs Commander needs study too. I think it's capable of sending ascii command strings to the radio over it's ethernet connection too. I'm not sure it can be used to read the value of a slider though. It needs more study and experimentation.
The SmartSDR API itself ought to be capable of doing nearly any "cool" thing your imagination comes up with. Learning to do it that way is more of a dream, for me at this time.
Won't know how until it works I guess.
