Tune While Using a Waveform

So far the update of SSRD to 1.5.1 is going smoothly with no problems to report.
There is one "feature" that could cause a problem; description follows.
Your tuning up your high gain amp (SS or perhaps a pair of 3CX800's) with the tune slider power level set at to 20 watts with SDR is set to FDV or Dstar mode. Completing a quick tune of the amp you "unclick" the tune button and the carrier turns off but the digital mode selection will cause a secondary transmission at the power that is set by the RF power setting. Let's assume this is the station ID being sent. If by (unfortunate) chance the RF power is set to 100 watts, the amp (especially 3CX800 grids) aren't going to be to happy about the burst of excessive RF.
Summary: In FDV or Dstar mode and using the tune setting, an unexpected digital transmission is sent after the tune that will be at a different power level set. Although "ID" a tune up is good station practice and follows the rules / regs, it probably should not be done automatically and at the different power setting. Granted, this is a rather esoteric condition but plausible. When un-clicking the tune button, there should be no further output from the radio.
Can someone kindly verify and share their thoughts on this?
Many Thanks,
k3Tim
