FYI, the SmartSDR 1.5 installer did not install VSP on our computer (the earlier version of SmartSDR and VSP were removed prior to the 1.5 install). Several additional attempts to install 1.5 still did not install VSP. The computer is running Win7 Pro. The problem was apparent because we did not have CAT control in FLDigi.
We needed to browse to c:Program FilesFlex Radio SystemsSmartSDR v1.564 bit driversVSP and manually install it. A couple of reboots and the system came up.

Did you reboot the PC immediately after uninstalling FlexVSP? If not the uninstall of the FlexVSP driver is not complete.
We have also observed where certain virus protection / Internet security suites will prevent the driver from installing properly when running the installer. Turning these off temporarily will help.
Also, unless instructed in the release notes or the release announcement, there is no need to uninstall the FlexVSP kernel mode driver.1 -
Yes, I did reboot after the uninstall. I also did receive warnings from Norton Internet Security but indicated that the programs were safe.
Thanks for the follow-up

Norton, McAffee and ESET are the worst offenders for this behavior.0
