Audio Processor for Flex-5000

Hi,
Does anyone know a great outboard Audio Processor besides w2IHY equipment thats not so pricey? I have very good results with the internal EQ etc, (Something with a DELAY setting like the EQ plus) heard a station with the EQ plus, and it sounded great, said delay setting was his secret for depth, so looking for something like that but not so expensive.
Thanks and 73,
Dan N9WX

Dan,
I've had excellent results with a PreSonus Studio Channel with a Flex 5000A and Flex 6500. It sells for about $300. I purchased from Sweetwater, which has an excellent return policy, should a product not meet your needs or expectations.
The PresSonus Studio is a mono channel ****. It has only a balanced output, which works well through the balanced inputs with either transceiver. The microphone preamp section (balanced input) uses a 12AX7 vacuum tube in class A mode. It has an optical compressor and three band parametric EQ with adjustable Q in the mid-band. I use a Heil PR-781 microphone and frequently receive unsolicited reports of excellent audio. The unit is clean and quiet.
Good luck and 73,
