Recording your audio in 1.4

When one records and plays back the transmit audio through the Flex speaker, does the receive equalizer settings color the playback or does the recorder bypass them and play back the transmit audio flat?

The playback bypasses all of the RX processing, including the EQ. When recording in USB/LSB/DIGU/DIGL the TX EQ settings will affect the recorded audio and will be noticeable when you press playback.

However the TNF is in line if you have it turned on in the Slice in the RX recording which will be present as a notch in the recorded retransmitted Audio.

Yes it will.  This is because the record function when recording received audio (not recording your transmitted audio) is recording the audio in the slice receiver passband.  TNF being on or off does not effect the recording of transmitted audio.
