DSP function visual indication request

As we all know, DSP settings, NB, NR, ANF affect receive audio. (The specific issue with ssb ANF in 1.4 software aside, as it is being resolved) It would be a great enhancement to see visual indication of the engagement of DSP functions on the main display as rf gain preamplifier/attenuation is shown when engaged. This would have saved me from questioning a stations audio, when the issue was on the receive side.

They are present in the slice details at the top of the slice. RF Gain (Preamp / Attn) functions are done at the SCU level and thus apply to the Pan Adapter. These are unrelated aspects of the radio which is why putting slice DSP displays on the pan adapter would not make sense.

also on the recieve module there is NB NR ANF buttons under the AGC slide on the receive module... if they are blue they are ON... If they are grey they are OFF.0

Thanks for the quick replies. I see now that the Pan Adapter is not the place for DSP displays.. So..(aside from appearance in the module which may be off screen) it seems to me that when any DSP function is engaged, the DSP pull-down button, in the slice, should be "Blue" indicating an underlying engagement of a DSP function. Is that a reasonable request ??
Thanks for your indulgence..

Hi Barry,
Since the DSP functions are related to the slice and not the panadapter, here is an idea that would allow you to see the contents of the slice control. The idea is to allow you to have the current slice view or an expanded view exposing all of the individual controls. The idea was submitted about a year ago and the mockup probably needs some tweaking. So far the idea has 5 votes

Check it out and add your comments to the idea and your vote if you think this would address your concern.

Hopefully Flex will add some indicators to show these hidden functions down the road, but if you're a DDUtil user the next release has a new Annunciator group in the Misc window for these and other indicators as a new feature.

These indicators are actually buttons that will turn functions on and off or step through ranges of settings (agc/RF). Lower case button names are for the active slice and upper case button names are for radio or panadapter settings.

Correction: The mentioned indicators are present in the RX panel on the right side of the SSDR console.0
