A way to totally lock a slice(s)/ cw skimmer interaction

While chasing K1N for a week I had an incident(or more) which needless to say I was rather embarrassed.
I was using 2 slices and had both padlocked, one on his Xmt freq (A) so I could listen to him, the other (B) within the pile up. TX set for B. This in conjunction with CW Skimmer to aid my copy and watch the run. Using CWX on the 6500.
Called a few times, transmitted fine within the pileup. I then clicked on CW Skimmer to make a minor change in the pileup position, then called him again and much to my dismay I was transmitting on his frequency!
So, when I change my focus to cw skimmer and come back to SSDR the TX has changed to the A slice position and also the yellow focus line has moved to A, thus I am back to his frequency. This will not change back to B if I go to cw skimmer and make a band position selection, only when I am set correctly for proper split. A RX and B TX.
Not sure if this should be addressed to Flex or to CW Skimmer, but I will start here.
Hopefully its neither's fault and I am doing something wrong.
Rig is Flex 6500 with the 1.3 software.
Thanks for any help/suggestions,

Chuck,
You might try using "A" for xmit and "B" for monitoring the dx frequency. Gather some spots
and switch to a dummy load to experiment.

Thanks Ned,
That will work. I was too intent on having A on the left and B on the right! Still would like it that way, but reverse will do.
My apologies to those that might of heard my feeble signal on K1N' frequency.

While talking slice locking, the following may be a bug or operating procedure.
While running a contest (BC QSO Party) yesterday I would lock my TX slice and use FlexControl to adjust RX. A band change through profiles would correctly setup the new band except leave the original slice where it was "locked". I have to go back to that slice and unlock it before proceeding.
Should "profile processing" pop up a message requesting permission to move a locked slice?

In the setup menu of SDR-bridge, there is a click-box option under Skimmer>Desktop "Activate TX on click-tune." Turn that off and skimmer won't change which slice is active for transmit without your knowledge.1

Ken,
your one slick cookie!!!! Thanks for bailing me out, that fixed it. I am now happy with A on the left and B on the right and no interaction when clicking on cw skimmer.
Thanks a bunch. Whew, this stuff is certainly not a Heathkit AT-1 and S-38, hi.
Back to chasing K1N. (foolish boy)

Ask me how I discovered this feature? Yep, same embarrassing mistake!0

I have added this report of how locked slices interact with global profiles as a defect in our bug tracker.0
