Crash when changing Profiles work around

As many had reported the radio will lose communications when changing profiles and crash which requires a restart of the radio I have had to power cycle the radio a couple of times.

As a workaround I found that if I close all the pan-adapters (X in the upper right corner of each pan-adapter) and start with a blank screen (Gray Box) then load the profile I have far fewer crashes.   I currently have 17 profiles most of which have 4 pan-adapters some in the ham bands and some for short wave or utility listening... Marine, Aviation, NASA Test Range etc... I cycled through all of these with out clearing and crashed 90% of the time I went through them twice by exiting all the pan-adapters and then calling the profile and only had 1 failure.

This is with a 6500 if others would test this it may be away to avoid the crashes. I think I saw reports from all 6000 radios except the 6700R

I wasn't sure were to post this as it's not a Question, Idea, Praise or Problem but the workaround was developed from a problem so I posted it there.

I have the same issue with crashes on profile change with my 6300.  Dan, you are quite right; it does not happen if I close the slice receivers first; nice tip - thanks.

Yea I know read the community, but found this worked well for me and thought I would share the workaround.  Having worked in the cellular world from the beginning I found that workarounds were a way of life with all new technology :)  As a user I can be part of the problem or part of the solution, I prefer being part of the solution...
    Thanks for all you do,
