Fldigi works better via Microsoft Sound Mapper than DAX RX1???

Odd. I have my 6300 set up properly, RX and TX Dax gain. Dax enabled, yet when I use Fldigi and enter DAX RX1 and DAX TX1 into the sound card fields the decoding works, but considerably worse than when I use the Microsoft Sound Mapper for RX. Why/how can that be? Having Windows obviously adds a layer of confusion, plus I actually run this Win 7 under Parallels on a Mac...
And I have a buddy with a 6500 that reports the exact same thing but he uses straight Windows (no Mac).
Anybody have suggestions?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
