Unhandled Error (non-UI thread)

SmartSDR 1.3.8
Lenovo IdeaCentre M92P
Windows 7
Computer connected to 6700 via a Cisco SG200-08 switch.
Only apps running are SmartSDR, CAT, and DAX - other than typical Windows background seervices like McAfee anti-virus etc. 
Only time I see this error is when SmartSDR is running, and clicking on OK closes SmartSDR.
I am repeatedly getting the error shown in this photo. Any ideas on the cause and correction?

The cause is probably related to a com port conflict.  Do you have a FlexControl loaded?  If so I suspect that it has auto assigned itself Com4 which is conflicting with the default CAT com port.

If you do have a FlexControl installed, you need to manually change it's com port assignment to a very high number, like 100 using these instructions:
