In the hardware manual (page 30) it says that is one holds down the power button for > 5 secs when powering up, it triggers a factory reset.

I get the white flashing when forcing a shutdown (pressing button of > 4 secs when on). This is not referenced in the manual. Does it have any significance?

It looks like I have caused a reset - all saved profiles gone as well as persistence settings. Luckily I have not used profiles heavily as no documentation yet available.

** I would like to add my voice for a save settings/save profile feature **

    Hello Guy,
The "save settings/save profile" capabilities of SmartSDR are described in the documentation section on the FlexRadio website.
Page 49 of "SmartSDR Software Users Guide v1.3.0.pdf" is the beginning of the brief section on  using profiles.  I believe what you are looking for is obtained by exporting your profiles to a file that remains in your computer and can then be imported after you do a hard reset.  That way you can regain your settings.
btw, thanks for your interesting posts and comments.  I've been lurking around and reading them for a while.
Also, if the information you need is not in the users guide than I hope somebody else pops up to help.

    Hi Ted,

The info in the manual is too rudimentary to be of much use. It is not clear exactly what is saved with the profiles. We have been promised proper documentation for which I cannot wait ;-).

    Cheers, Guy
