TNF Width Adjustment

Where do I find the documentation on adjusting the TNF width? For some reason, intuitive attempts fail miserably?

Brad,From the Flex SmartSDR Users manual that you can download from the Flex site under Support/downloads:http://www.flexradio.com/downloads/smartsdr-software-users-guide-pdf/

To create a TNF, click the button on the left side of the panadapter. This will create a TNF in the center of the panadapter. You can also right click in the panadapter or waterfall on the frequency where you would like the TNF created and select "Create TNF."

The Tracking Notch Filter will be created on the frequency where the right-click occurred. A TNF will be shown by a greenish vertical line with diagonal stripes. Once the TNF is created, the TNF may be remembered, deleted or additional notch depth may be added by right-clicking on the TNF again:

To see details on the current TNF or change its frequency or width, hover your cursor over the TNF. The cursor will change to a 4-way directional cursor and details about the TNF will appear in a callout:

To increase the width of the TNF, left-click and then move the cursor up-and-down. To adjust the frequency of the TNF, slice side-to-side. .

To disable all TNFs at the same time, click on the TNF icon in the bar at the bottom on SmartSDR:

When all TNFs are disabled, the TNF icon will "gray out" as shown below. To re-enable all TNFs, just click on the button again.

    Hope this helps!

When I left click on the notch filter and move up and down there is no change on the width of the notch filter

    I am running v3.6.8 on a Flex 6400

You may want to zoom on a bit to more easily see the width and to make sure that you are actually over the TNF when you adjust it.

Also, to be clear, you hold the left mouse button down while moving the mouse.

Do you have the TNF set to "Remember" so the TNF is Green instead of Yellow? if it's green then it is a locked TNF so you can't change it until you turn OFF the "Remember" option in the little menu that comes up on the TNF. You RIGHT click the little compass Icon when you run the mouse across the line to get to the menu.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
