Yesterday I was setting up my flex 6500 with a new eqplus everything was going well until I started to get audio reports that my modulation had rf after checking everything I noticed the swr was way high so I stopped transmitting and retuned with flex atu it said success so tried again low and behold after two or three words swr went up again to 2.5 so I disconnected the eqplus and put microphone direct to flex to see it made any diffence it did not still high swr after a few words so I dis idea to do a complete reboot closed ssdr turned off flex turned off power supply and disconnected main plug waited a few minutes and reconnected everything and hay peso everything is ok now will keep my eye on it the next few days to see if it happens again but may be just a one off.

What kind of antenna are you using? My guess is you have RF getting into your radio, and adding the new EQ box to your microphone input aggravated your situation. It makes no sense that your SWR would rise due to changing something in your audio line.
