Keeping track of the baseline between RX/TX

I've read most of the threads here about baseline jumping around with changes in the resolution bandwidth, but with regard to RX vs TX:

160m is noisy tonight. The noise floor on my inverted-L is around -103 dBm. Ok, let's scroll the baseline so that it sits about -105. Looks fine.

Now key the transmitter. The baseline drops to around -127 dBm, which I assume is normal. The "problem" (if it's indeed a problem) is that the baseline now snaps up and down on the display between RX and TX.

Like I said - I "get" what's being said about the baseline changing with the RBW. I may not buy into all of it, but we'll see how it works out over time. This RX/TX thing, though has me reaching for the Dramamine... ;-)
