There is a blurb in the instructions (page 10 of the release notes for v1.3.0) that if you already have CAT installed from a previous version of SDR you must uninstall FlexRadio Systems FlexVSP through the control panel.  If you installed V1.30 first you may have to reinstall v1.3.0 after you remove FlexVSP in order to get the latest version of FlexVSP installed otherwise FlexVSP will install automatically if the earlier version had been removed prior to V1.3.0 install.  I installed v1.3.0 on two different computers; one with FlexVSP installed from previous release and one with FlexVSP uninstalled before I did the v1.3.0 install and that is what I experienced from each system written above.  It would be a good idea to remember the ports you created as the old ports get removed.

Don - The instruction on page 10 indicate if you have CAT v1.2.10 or below installed, you must uninstall CATand reboot your PC before installing SmartSDR v1.3.0 .  If you have CAT v1.2.11 or greater installed, uninstalling CAT is NOT required.  SmartSDR v1.2.17 includes CAT v1.2.17 so if you were running SmartSDR v1.2.17 uninstalling CAT is NOT required.
