Flex 3000 audio to pc. I want to direct audio through PC. The Flex software takes over the sound on my PC?

    Bill,

There is not a sound card requirement when using the Flex 3000,  but Windows does for the Default Windows Sounds..    You can redirect the receiver audio to your Windows SoundMapper by using the VAC button and having your VAC output selected to Windows SoundMapper..   Issues doing this is that the PowerSDR volume,  mute, squelch, muting while transmitting and you will not be able to use Digital modes while doing this.

A better solution is to use powered speakers with two inputs,  like the Bose Companion II (I saw them on sale at Sams for $69)  or double male 1/8 stereo cable and connect the power speaker output to one of the computer sound card inputs.   This way all the controls are functional..

I wanted to direct audio to the PC as I am using Windows desktop remote built in. I will use something instead, maybe a wireless headset.
