Erratic flex control with two slices open

I was on 17 this evening and I had two slices open on the same band.  I noticed that the Flex control had become very erratic as I rotated the knob.  As soon as I closed one of the slices the problem went away.

Please describe the issue in more detail.  Does the tune rate have any correlation to the erratic tuning of a slice?

    Hi Tim

You have 8 panadaptes with slices run simultaneusly running.

Dsilplay Settings are: FPS 30 and AVG 20. Tunning step is 50 or 100 for example. Watherfall are hidden.

You turn the mouse wheel or flex control quickly. You will notice slowly and time delayed slice tunning.

PC is 12 core with GTX 770. That schould be enough for the SSDR "thin" Client.

You will notice this issue when you open more than  5 panadpters with slices to.

    Thanks,

    Emil, de DL8JJ

Emil, are you turning the know quickly or spinning the knob?

I tested this yesterday and again today and now it appears whatever was going on with the FlexControl is no long going on :-)  Everything appears to be working ok.

    hey Tim,

    sorry for delay answer.

When you have more than 5 panadapters each with slice open and you turn the Flex knob quckly, you'll notice  adelaed slice tunning.

In addition, you will notice udio desroyng on RX/TX to.

If you have less than 5 slices all work OK, Independent how quickly you turn the knob and you have no audio distortions.

Summary: The more panadapers & slices  open, the worser the performances.

CPU still ca. 17-20 % with waterfall minimized.

    Thanks,

    Emil- de DL8JJ

    Don,

One thing I noticed is that the tuning is smoother if you turn off the "Tune Step"   in the RX tab of Setup.

with Flex 6700 and more than 5 panadapters with slices open this make no improvement.

    Thanks,
