Antenna 1/2 interface

I was copying a strong signal at 10 over. I then switched to antenna 2 to see how my other antenna was doing. It was weaker than I had expected at S3+. When I looked at the antenna 2 connector  there was no antenna connected. Why should I have heard anything?

I use a quadra amp which has four antenna ports. I swear that sometimes strong signals sound better on a port with no antenna. I suspect the isolation between the ports is such that you are still seeing the signal. I don't think this is a problem.

There is not 100% isolation between antenna ports so you will hear strong signals on an unconnected antenna port.  Like Jon said, this isn't a problem.

I noticed this a few weeks ago too when I was messing around with antennas.  Thanks for the answer, Jon and Tim.
